Meet the Artist
Blending timeless design with Highland inspiration, I create elegant, hand-painted furniture for homes with soul.
My Story
I’m Nicky Middleton-Jones — a furniture artist working from a small studio on the west coast of Scotland. My path to this work has been shaped by a background in graphic design, interior styling, and nature conservation — all rooted in a love for thoughtful design and the natural world.
What began as a quiet passion for restoring old furniture has grown into a practice focused on sustainability, creativity, and connection. I help people rediscover the beauty in what they already have — transforming tired, overlooked pieces into something elegant, enduring, and personal.
Inspired by the Highland landscape around me, I work with eco-conscious materials and timeless finishes to create furniture that reflects both place and story — and still feels entirely at home in a modern interior.
Designed to be beautiful – And Built to Last
Every piece I paint is more than just a surface refresh. It’s a thoughtful transformation that balances form and function — honouring the original craftsmanship while creating something new, durable, and deeply personal

My Design Process
Every commission starts with a conversation — from there, I guide you through a simple, thoughtful process to create something truly personal and built to last.

Discover and Discuss
We start by exploring your needs — the piece, the space, your style, and what you’d like the transformation to achieve.

Design and Prepare
I’ll suggest colour palettes, finishes, and design ideas, then prep the piece using eco-conscious materials and methods.

Paint and Finish
Using careful layering, blending, and detailing, I bring your vision to life. The final piece is protected, polished, and ready for its new chapter.
Ready to begin? Get in touch to discuss your ideas — I’d love to hear about your piece and how we can bring it to life together.
